My name is Michael Kaishar and I am a seasoned and accomplished Information Security Professional with more than 20 years of experience in Information Security and Information Technology. My background and experience has given me the perspective of being a pragmatic results-driven information security and technology practitioner. Practical sense has been the driving force in successfully completing information security and technology project initiatives on time and within budget throughout my career. I have a certain sense and tolerance for ambiguity and I am comfortable with uncertainty, unpredictability, conflicting directions, and the multiple demands of the information security and technology fields. I am always consistently learning and trying to keep up with the ever changing information security and technology space. Time permitting I also attend pertinent industry conferences and symposiums, as well as, ISSA and OWASP meetings. I am a member of the Los Angeles and Orange County Chapters of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) where security professionals and practitioners meet on a periodic basis to discuss, share and learn the latest and greatest in security and technology. I am the published author of “Implementing an enterprise-level backup, imaging, recovery and tape encryption infrastructure solution” for the Journal of Business Continuity & Emergency Planning by Henry Stewart Publications. Publishing helpful content was a great learning experience for me and it allowed me to share my knowledge with the community. I am a huge proponent of knowledge sharing and mentorship.
